The Last Dance

The music began small and faint

She dances a sorrowful and sad dance

Moving slow, yet gracefully around the floor

At the high note her heart sank

The music reminded her of happiness and joy

Something that she lost some time ago

She emptied all of her emotions on the dance floor

in which she could release every feeling she still had

At the final note she took a bow and walked off stage with a feigned smile

The audience on the other hand stood in awe

for they had seen the dancer perform her last dance

Beautiful and graceful, yet full of sorrow and emotion
